Tide Cottage is a luxury and uber-stylish Victorian mid-terrace cottage, just a few minutes' walk from the beautiful sandy beach at pretty Overstrand, close to Cromer on the North Norfolk coast.
The Experience
This charming and romantic hideaway is ideal for a couple, or two couples wanting to escape to the coast and offers the opportunity to kick back and relax in what is a fantastic cottage in a great location.
With fashionably modern fixtures and fittings, two lovely bedrooms – one with a king-size four poster bed and en-suite with roll top bath and walk-in shower – this cottage benefits from a south facing garden perfect for dining alfresco in the summer months, but also delivers in the cooler months too, thanks to its cosy wood burning stoves in both the sitting room and dining room.
Tide Cottage offers the opportunity to spend quality time away together in a chic, comfortable cottage only a stroll from all the amenities the charming village of Overstrand has to offer and of course the whole of the east and north Norfolk coast.
Bring your bikes and explore the narrow country lanes, bring your walking boots and walk the coastal path, or simply pack a picnic full of local produce and head to the beach for the day where you can swim in the sea and breathe in the fresh air.
Outside has a pretty, south facing garden with table and gas barbecue.
Parking is outside the property on the road.
Overstrand is a pretty, sleepy coastal village just two miles south of its larger neighbour, Cromer, and during the Victorian era was known as ‘the village of millionaires’ and a particular favourite holiday destination for Sir Winston Churchill. Still retaining its old fashioned seaside charm, this charming village hasn’t changed too much.
Reviews
If you fancy the walk along the beach or coastal path to Cromer you can reward yourself at the end with a drink at the beachside Rocket House Cafe, while you watch the fisherman and tide come and go.
A five mile coastal walk in the other direction will take you to the pretty seaside village of Mundesley.
There is a shop/post office and two pub/restaurants in the village; the 4* The Sea Marge Hotel and the AA rosette White Horse Hotel; both popular with visitors and locals alike.
Cromer is also full of seaside charm and was recently voted one of the best coastal towns in the UK to both live and take a holiday.
