A unique and luxurious wooden lodge, set within its own large woodland garden in a ‘secret’ location, yet within easy walking distance of Holt town centre.
Built by the owner in the basin of an old quarry, and named after a much-loved family pet, Pal’s Cabin is a fabulous, bolthole hideaway for four.
With thermostatically controlled heat source pump underfloor heating, quality fitted kitchen and bathrooms, and comfortably furnished in a simple Nordic style reflecting the building and surrounding wooded landscape, this is the perfect place to wind down, enjoy the peaceful setting and wildlife that abounds outside.
The light-filled open plan living area has a modern, well-equipped kitchen adjoining the dining and sitting area where extra warmth is added by a contemporary log burner.
Full-size windows with french doors on two sides of the room open on to the decked verandah which surrounds the cabin. Two bedrooms (king size and twin) and two bathrooms, along with a utility room, complete the picture.
A fully enclosed garden surrounds the cabin and is bordered by shrubs and trees, and has lawned, shingled and barked areas, and dining patio.
The cabin’s wooden decked verandah with balustrade overlooks the garden. The dogs will enjoy the fully enclosed rear garden, and enclosed verandah and you will have peace of mind that they are safe. There is also an additional enclosed wooded area for excercise and play.
An easy fifteen minute level walk will take you into the pretty Georgian town of Holt, with its independent shops, restaurant and cafes (please note there is a steepish slope leading down to the cabin from the entrance driveway).
We had a wonderful week staying in Pal's Cabin. Such a lovely, cozy, comfortable cabin in beautiful grounds..... it was like living in a park! Needless to say the hounds had a marvellous time and we were happy knowing that they were totally safe in the enclosed grounds.
