The Old Butcher’s Shop is a delightful holiday home, oozing character and style, located in the centre of Heacham on the West Norfolk coast within easy walking distance of the beach and only a short drive to family friendly Hunstanton.
The Experience
Beautifully transformed and converted by the owners into a gorgeous holiday home, this special hideaway is ideal for both walking and cycling enthusiasts who want to be in a thriving village yet within easy reach of the countryside, beaches and sea.
Formerly serving life as the village butchers, The Old Butcher’s Shop sits under a slate roof and Norfolk red brick walls.
The owners have spent the last few years sensitively refurbishing and renovating it into the rustically romantic home it is today.
Now this luxury self-catering bolthole invites couples and families to immerse themselves within. Perfectly positioned to access the North West Norfolk coast it is also well located for exploring the whole of the North Norfolk coast.
Using a palette of calming chalk paints intermingled with splashes of colour, the large family bathroom even has an essence of French boudoir.
Whilst retaining its authentic character, we´re sure you’ll be seduced by the charm of The Old Butcher’s shop unique features.
If the property is booked in conjunction with The Old Butcher’s Stores, then a side gate provides access so the outside areas can be shared.

Spacious, well-equipped accommodation in a good location for North Norfolk.
We all enjoyed our stay at The Old Butcher's Shop. There was lots of room for the four grand children aged between 3 and 10 to spread out and relax. The accommodation is well equipped with everything you need in excellent condition. WiFi is very good - an essential for our 10 year old granddaughter! We would certainly consider using this accommodation again.

Heacham village has an historic link with the Indian Princess Pocahontas, which is celebrated by a memorial in the church.
Also the home of Norfolk Lavender it has two beautiful beaches and thriving local community with shops and pubs/restaurants.
Well located for visiting many attractions, including numerous nature and bird reserves, it also provides easy access to the coast path and rural walks. Heacham’s poppy and lavender fields are a spectacular sight when they are in full bloom.
Whether you’re a walker, beach lover, cyclist, bird spotter or just want to get away from it all, then this area of the coast is the perfect choice.
