The large open plan living/dining and kitchen area covers most of the ground floor and is spacious, social, light and bright whilst offering plenty of opportunity to enjoy the garden too, as a raised deck leads off this and provides great views over the garden towards the sea.
This living area is the heart of the home and the kitchen boasts a range cooker, and oodles of crockery and equipment to rustle up a feast, plus there’s a coffee machine too to get you moving first thing in the morning.
There is a practical sit-up bar/ prep area and a large dining table which seats eight, plus shelving with an array of books and games to keep everyone amused.
Also on the ground floor you’ll find one bedroom and separate shower room, making it ideal for those with less mobility (but please note there are steps into the property and off the decking at the rear).
There is also a practical utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and door from here onto the front south-facing terrace which is a little sun-trap and great spot for morning coffee or reading the newspapers (there is a village shop just a five minute walk away where you can buy croissants and fresh bread).
On the first floor you will find two further SuperKing bedrooms, both very spacious with seating and hanging space, plus a large family bathroom with bath and shower over, and a further single bedroom.
All have been beautifully styled and designed. The master bedroom to the rear also boasts sea views. All beds have been dressed in soft linens and luxurious cushions and throws to ensure a blissful night’s sleep.
There is plenty of outdoor space with a large raised terrace with steps down to the garden, which is accessed via the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors from the open plan living space. While on the lower terrace there is a table with chairs and some relaxed seating and a barbecue to enjoy outside dining when the days are longer.
The central fire pit can also be enjoyed (please ensure children are supervised at all times) on balmy summer evenings while you watch the sun go down.
Children will adore the play opportunities the large garden provides. And for those needing to work, they can find peace and solace in the garden pod where there is a desk, chair and relaxed seating.
Parking is made easy too, with off-road parking for at least 3-4 cars, plus there is additional parking outside on the road in front of the property if needed.
The area
Old Hunstanton is a rarity along the North Norfolk coast in that you can get very close to the beach without walking a long way over the salt marshes! Miles of sand, gentle sand dunes and beach huts make this a perfect family seaside holiday destination.
For the more active, Old Hunstanton has become a mecca for Kite Surfing and Hunstanton Golf Course, a challenging links course is voted amongst the top 100 courses in Britain.
Old Hunstanton has an abundance of great places to eat, all within walking distance of our holiday cottages, including The Neptune, a Michelin-starred restaurant; The Lodge Hotel and The Mariners Arms, plus of course there is the ever-popular beach cafe, great for a good fry up or lunchtime snack!
The lifeboat station is a good place to visit and you might get to see the hovercraft being launched too, a sight well worth seeing!
When you don't want to spend the day on the beach, go explore further afield (there's plenty to see and do).
The neighbouring Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton, or 'Sunny Hunny' as it is known locally, is a traditional seaside town and popular holiday destination throughout the year appealing to all ages who are looking for a variety of activities.
The wide open beach here is thought to be one of the safest and cleanest in the UK, and this part of the North Norfolk coast is renowned for its stunning sunsets - make sure you don't miss them.
