While Norfolk’s North Sea coast may not guarantee year-round sunshine, your host’s use of contemporary furniture in an array of vibrant colours, particularly in the living room and bedrooms, is guaranteed to bring some light to your life.
Elsewhere, the sleek kitchen and adjacent dining room are a little more restrained when it comes to colour, yet no less stylish.
At the same time, the bathrooms keep things a little more traditional.
The crowning jewel is the east-facing balcony, which makes for a spectacular spot to enjoy your morning coffee as the sun rises over the sea.
In addition to offering easy access to the sea and 15 miles of sandy beaches, Great Yarmouth is also the gateway to the gorgeous Norfolk Broads, which lie just a couple of miles away and follow the River Yare inland.
Travel far enough, and you’ll reach the county capital of Norwich, where you’ll find plenty of innovative restaurants and independent boutiques dotted around a charming cobbled old town.

The apartment is located on the second floor with lift access, so it may be suitable for those with limited mobility. We’d recommend a car if you’re planning on exploring the wider area – there’s designated parking for one car.
