Tucked away in the undulating parkland landscape of the beautiful Sussex Farm Estate just a few minutes’ drive from undoubtedly Norfolk’s loveliest village Burnham Market.
This beautifully styled and furnished three-bedroom semi-detached Victorian cottage is a true Norfolk Hideaway in an idyllic location and is ideal for a couple seeking a romantic and peaceful retreat.
With such a stunning approach through the parkland of the Sussex Farm Estate, you won’t fail to be impressed by the location. Peaceful and heavenly, yet is only a short stroll to the White House, a hotel/restaurant set within the estate grounds where you can dine on an evening, or enjoy drinks at the bar, you won’t want to travel too far.
Access into the property is through a wide and practical entrance hall and lobby from which you access the hub of the house, a welcoming open living area with galley kitchen, dining area with seating for six and gorgeously snug sitting room with its glorious wood burner and Farrow and Ball washed walls.
The dining room is perfect for socialising whilst food is being prepared, and the south facing terrace can be accessed via the bi-fold doors, perfect if you want to dine alfresco in the summer and enjoy a barbecue or two whilst watching the sun slip away from the day. With such dark night skies here you will appreciate how bright the stars are.
With a ground floor bathroom this pretty cottage is ideal after spending long walks in the countryside or a day on the beach. Just off the hallway there is also a single bedroom.
Upstairs (accessed via a Norfolk winder staircase) you will find two beautiful bedrooms, one King-size bedroom with ensuite shower and countryside views to the rear, and a further double bedroom with views to the front which looks over the estate parkland.
Outside there is parking for at least two cars on the private driveway to the front and there is a generous south facing raised lawned garden to the rear which is fully-enclosed, meaning that a dog won’t be able to stray.
The garden is surely one of the best features of this property and on long summer days, soak up on the sun’s rays or read in the shade under the canopy of the trees without disturbance.
This beautiful home is stylishly presented throughout whilst still retaining the original character and features. We know you will fall in love with Honeysuckle Cottage … why wouldn’t you?
Burnham Market is often regarded as the loveliest village in Norfolk and is close to the North Norfolk Coast. The village is one of the seven ‘Burnham’s’ and has a range of niche shops including a delicatessen, Tuscan farm shop, wine merchant, butcher, greengrocer, fishmonger, a chemist and various beautiful boutiques and lifestyle shops.
There are also hard tennis courts and a fine parish church. The village is centred around a green of mainly Georgian houses and there are some fabulous restaurants for you to enjoy during your stay.
Enjoy the beaches at Brancaster or Wells where you can enjoy sunbathing in the sandy dunes or pull on your walking boots and enjoy a coastal walk to Burnham Overy Staithe where you can watch the boats or catch a boat to secluded Scolt Head Island, one of North Norfolk’s best kept secrets.
