This elegant double fronted village house has been styled with uber relaxing and understated chic interiors. Just the place for anyone looking for a boutique holiday retreat a short drive from North Norfolk's glorious coastline and nearby shopping and eating at Burnham Market.
Foxhill House sits in the heart of the pretty village of South Creake, with its wide green with little river Burn running through, and population of ducks that, along with their chicks, take their time to cross the village road, simply adding to its charm.
Set over two floors, the house has an overall luxurious feel with warmth provided by underfloor heating on the ground floor and vertical designer radiators on the first.
You will enjoy artworks on the walls and some funky bits and pieces dotted here and there that will make you smile. As you enter the house from the garden, you walk into a very well-equipped attractive L-shaped kitchen that overlooks the garden to one side and the dining area to the other, both areas divided by an island/breakfast bar – the ideal place to take a seat and plan your day as you savour a morning cup of coffee courtesy of the Lavazza machine.
Leaving the dining area, walk across the front hallway to the oh-so-cosy dual aspect sitting room with plump sofas, a generous-sized wood burning stove and french doors facing onto the garden.
Upstairs are three beautifully furnished bedrooms (king-size, double and 3′ single trundle bed – see Layout for full details) and two top notch, smart bathrooms, one of which is en-suite.
Outside, Foxhill House benefits from a fully enclosed and private garden that ensures both children and dogs are safely out of harm’s way.
Foxhill House is a rather special and romantic hideaway, especially suited to a couple or two but just as lovely for friends to enjoy, Children are welcome too, although no special equipment is provided for tiny tots other than one high chair.
Perfectly located for allowing easy access to both coastal and rural North Norfolk and a perfect place to relax and breathe in some fresh Norfolk air; somewhere to unwind and adopt a slower pace of life.
If you are feeling active, there’s plenty to do and many wonderful places to go and see. However, if you just want to stay put, there is no nicer place to be.
Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).
Private parking on the drive for two cars.
South Creake is a charming North Norfolk village. The river Burn runs through the village and there is an open green with playing field, football field, tennis courts – and lots of ducks!
The Duck at Stanhoe, about 10 minutes away, is a superb and very popular dining pub – you definitely need to book (it serves a delicious Sunday lunch, which goes on all day).
The drive to the beautiful North Norfolk coast takes only 10 minutes with the nearest beaches being at Brancaster, Holkham and Wells-Next-The-Sea and it’s about the same distance to Fakenham where there is an excellent weekly Thursday market, as well four supermarkets (Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl & Aldi) and two petrol stations.
