Fabulous top floor apartment with a bird's eye view over picturesque Buttlands green in the heart of Wells-next-the-Sea on the North Norfolk coast, a seriously romantic hideaway for two.
Situated within Monteagle House, a handsome double fronted Grade II listed house located on Wells-next-the-Sea's elegant and leafy Georgian square.
Ppartment 6 is a light and airy stylish bolt hole enjoying high-ceilings, a great view and a fantastic location.
Only a short walk away from the town’s superb amenities – shops of every kind, pubs, restaurants, cafes, arts centre and bustling Quay – your needs will be well catered for.
And just a ten minute walk from the Quay will lead you to the town’s truly stunning wide-open beach, framed by colourful beach huts and sheltered by pine trees.
Perfect to escape to for a short or longer break at any time of the year, you will need to be reasonably fit to climb the two flights of stairs to the top floor of the house, and then again up to the bedroom on the mezzanine level within the apartment.
Although there is no garden area or designated off-street parking, there are no parking restrictions on The Buttlands or on many of the town’s quiet side streets, and the square’s spacious green is a lovely place to sit and read or enjoy a picnic.
Please be aware that Wells Carnival, held during the first week of August each year, holds daytime and evening events on The Buttlands.
Wells-next-the-Sea is a hub for North Norfolk coastal activities. From the picturesque harbour (where crabbing is a must) you can either walk, take the narrow-gauge railway or drive to the spectacular beach with its famous array of colourful beach huts.
Stop at the Beach Cafe afterwards for a drink and snack – you can also hose down a sandy dog! Wells has a pretty, leafy green peaceful square, The Buttlands, which is surrounded by fine Georgian buildings.
Staithe Street, the bustling high street, has all kind of independent shops, some lovely tearooms, great gastro pubs and restaurants and you’ll also find The Wells Maltings, North Norfolk’s Landmark Cultural Centre with exciting events all year round.
