Rebuilt after a devastating fire in 1708, the town has a wonderful character with colourful Georgian buildings and a spacious market place, dominated by a cross of Clipsham stone to commemorate the war dead.
This pretty Georgian market town, nestled in the North Norfolk countryside not far from the coastal towns of Cromer and Sheringham, is brimming over with a range of quality galleries, tea rooms, pubs, antique shops and specialist food stores.

The North Norfolk Railway also known as the “Poppy Line” – is a heritage steam railway running from Holt station to the coastal town of Sheringham. It cuts through the stunning countryside with poppy fields and views of the Norfolk coastline.
Just to the south of Holt is a fabulous country park, a tranquil woodland dominated with Scots Pine, native broadleaves and rich ground flora which supports an abundant display of wildlife.
